Learn more about ENT #Neuroscience Careers That Change Lives In this role as a Manufacturing Engineer I within the AME team, you will play a critical role in advancing existing technologies and introducing innovative manufacturing processes. Partnering closely with R&D, Operations, Sourcing, Quality and Global Manufacturing teams, you will lead strategic process development initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring robust process controls, readiness for high-volume manufacturing, and full regulatory compliance. As a developing Manufacturing Engineer I, you will provide engineering support to New Product Introduction team with an emphasis in semi-automation, manual assembly process development to support new product development. You will perform work in the electronic, mechanical and electromechanical areas. You will support assigned projects and work with other stakeholders to achieve the desired results. You will design and develop all facets of manufacturing production line such as layout, equipment specification/design/procurement, work instruction generation, capacity analysis, process capability, risk assessment. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and/or optical areas. Design, fabrication, procurement, and installation of manufacturing equipment. Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
