Boeing San Antonio is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Entry-Level or Associate) to become part of the F-15 EPAWSS Production Engineering team in San Antonio, TX. Candidates should be comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and must be able to operate within a multi-functional team, coordinating with various departments. The successful candidate will join the Manufacturing Engineering team where they will provide engineering support for manufacturing build processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Level 2: 2+ years of work related experience and a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of work related experience and technical education
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in production or MRO planning
  • Aircraft/aerospace industry experience.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations, manufacturing planning, engineering drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of manufacturing planning systems (GOLDesp) and ship side installation support preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supports the manufacturing planning in a production/MRO environment and implements manufacturing plans on the factory floor
  • Develops manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives
  • Develops, implement, and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration
  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies
  • Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs
  • Provides producibility input to design manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules
  • Develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments
  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems
  • Investigates and resolves manufacturing related issues of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule
