Our facility in Littleton, CO has an immediate opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our mission. Summary of key duties for this position: Plans all aspects of paint, coatings and chemical conversion applications. Reviews engineering drawings and specifications, writes work instructions and supports coatings application. Troubleshoots issues with industrial and/or lab equipment. Works closely with shop supervision, technicians, MRP controllers, production leads and program to ensure successful hardware fabrication. Works around chemical processes and wears appropriate PPE in that environment. Maintains awareness of daily/weekly tasks/assignments to deliver products within budgetary and schedule constraints.

Requirements

  • Understanding of procedures, work instructions, technical writing or similar with technical publications.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, schematics, and specifications.
  • Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, manufacturing engineering or related discipline from an accredited college/university or equivalent/combined education.
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of paint and metal coating processes in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with root cause analysist for defect determination.
  • Experience with DFx (i.e. design for manufacturing, design to cost, design to schedule, design for assembly, etc.).
  • Computer skills including MS Office software, and SAP/VECams (or other MRP/Work Instruction software).
