About The Position

This role is responsible for performing engineering duties of planning, designing, installing, and maintenance of electrical systems for the plant facility & operations areas. Improve the energy efficiency of operating infrastructure & manufacturing equipment to reduce the overall energy costs. Manage and coordinate small and large engineering projects. What You Drive at DTNA Estimate, plan, design, and implement the construction and maintenance of plant infrastructure. Specify equipment and systems to support plant infrastructure and facility processes. Troubleshoot and solve problems related to the plant infrastructure and facility processes. Support plant infrastructure and facility process equipment which includes, but is not limited to: boilers, compressors, chillers, HVAC systems, electrical distribution systems (15kV, 480V, 120V), standby generator & UPS systems, fiber optic & Ethernet communication systems, Life Safety systems (smoke & fire detection, annunciation & notification, fire suppression), security systems (card access, camera, gate control), lighting. Plan & coordinate work with skilled in-house tradesman & supervisors, as well as outside contractors & service technicians. Provide and implement designs for electrical infrastructure equipment and systems. Working knowledge & practical use of National Electric Code (NFPA) & NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace. Participate in teams and cross-functional groups. Work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision. Project management and plant engineering functions.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (or equivalent relevant engineering degree)
  • At least 5 years Plant Engineering or Facility Engineering experience.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • High level of analytical ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to interpret prints and drawings.
  • Understanding of building, infrastructure, and utility functions.
  • Ability to work in an industrial work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in related fields.
  • Familiarity with Maximo, SAP, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Machining, Assembly, Test, & Final manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working in a unionized labor environment.
