We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Design Engineer Intern to support the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes and mechanical components. This hands‑on role is ideal for a Mechanical Engineering student interested in manufacturing, CAD design, and real-world engineering experience.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with 3D CAD (Creo, SolidWorks, etc.)
  • Knowledge of mechanical design basics (materials, tolerances, GD&T)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work hands-on
  • Requires less than 1 year of related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to machining, 3D printing, or other manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with DFM/DFA or basic FEA tools
  • Prior project or internship experience in manufacturing or mechanical design

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and maintain manufacturing/engineering documentation and checklists
  • Support NPI qualification planning and implementation
  • Perform basic testing, data collection, and root-cause analysis
  • Assist with designing and updating tooling, fixtures, and CAD models
