About The Position

The Manufacturing Casting Intern will provide support to the Manufacturing Casting team through the application of core analysis & engineering techniques, including process flow design & mapping, productivity measures & time studies, data collection, and computational analysis.

Requirements

  • The qualified candidate will be working toward a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial & Systems or Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related field at a college or university located in Rhode Island.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, review and analyze information from various sources.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team setting and challenge current processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and related computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Define manufacturing casting issues, collect data, analyze facts, implement solutions and review as needed.
  • Create, update, and maintain concise and understandable documentation including but not limited to work instructions, reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Work with and through others for the analysis of production problems, their solution, and the effective and successful implementation of the solution.
  • Present to management on experience at the completion of the Intern period.
