About The Position

Lead the daily shop operations of assigned team and drive safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity metrics. Lead implementation of Flight Deck strategies in plant and cells. Be a passionate leader of team members with regards to safety, quality, and total customer satisfaction. This role involves managing an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility to achieve defined targets in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity, while ensuring continuous business improvement. The leader will influence strategy development for their area, control resources, and contribute to policy formulation. They will interpret business challenges, recommend best practices, stay informed of industry trends, and use high-level judgment for complex tasks. The position requires assessing information quality, asking pertinent questions, offering new solutions, and providing recommendations. It may involve leading functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity, and communicating difficult concepts to influence others. The role also includes providing leadership, communication, and training to both salaried and hourly teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Manufacturing Engineering Experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years Manufacturing Engineering and shop operations leadership experience.
  • Access to U.S. export-controlled information, requiring proof of U.S. Person status (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee or refugee status).

  • Experience with machining tool and fixture designs and/or improvement.
  • Ability to make data driven decisions and utilize Six Sigma and Lean tools.
  • Knowledge of safety agency regulations, ISO / Quality procedures.

Responsibilities
