What You’ll Do As an Automation Technician you’ll be part of our manufacturing engineering located in Hesston, KS. You also have: Responsible for already established programming routine, maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting computer-controlled systems and robotic devices (i.e. weld robots, press brakes, lasers, etc). General duties also include data related projects as directed by Supervisor. Program new weld jobs on robotic weld cells. (Approx. 10%) Make program adjustments to automated fabrication equipment. (Approx. 15%) Develop maintenance programs and perform or oversee preventative maintenance schedules. (Approx. 15%) Troubleshoot problems with programs/equipment. Work closely with maintenance and equipment vendors as needed. (Approx. 15%) Monitor for corrective action top downtime impacts. (Approx. 10%) Perform data driven projects and any other duties as directed by Supervisor. May require some leadership in project management. (Approx. 15%) Monitor machine efficiencies weekly. (Approx. 10%) Nesting jobs for lasers and programming for press brakes. Being committed to safety

Requirements

  • Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and implement solutions required.
  • Handle multiple priorities.
  • Capable of reading and understanding manufacturing drawings, including weld callouts and quality
