What your impact looks like On second shift, you’ll own critical install, repair, and optimization tasks that keep production humming: Create minor electrical circuits and diagnose PLC, electrical, and electronic control issues on machines. Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and resolve faults. Install control systems by interpreting schematics and blueprints. Leverage knowledge of plant electrical power and water distribution systems. Execute routine mechanical fixes that support electrical work. Handle tasks within lower classifications and, when needed, guide their work. Disassemble electrical machinery; replace failed parts including brushes and armatures. Install equipment and monitor performance for hazards, adjustments, or replacement needs. Work confidently from blueprints, sketches, or verbal direction. Lay out, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust fixtures, apparatus, wiring, and services—panels, breakers, conduit. Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures and complete circuits per diagram specs. Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits/equipment using the right tools and test instruments. Tackle additional assignments from the Group Leader.

Requirements

  • Two-year Associate degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience.
  • Comfort using a computer for parts lookup and CMMS work entry.
  • Can-do capabilities
  • Stamina for prolonged standing, with the ability to sit, use fine motor skills, stoop, and bend.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, including lifting a minimum of 50 pounds for a baseline test.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check
