Manufacturing Associate (2nd Shift)
About The Position
Juniper is an innovative lighting technology, design, and manufacturing company seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Associate – 2nd Shift to join our team in Southington, CT. This position supports our production operations by working in various areas of the manufacturing floor, including metal finishing, surface preparation, spray painting, and operating shop equipment. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail, safety, and quality are essential. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in craftsmanship, and wants to grow within a modern manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of experience in manufacturing or production.
- Experience using power tools required.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Grind, sand, clean, or polish parts using hand and power tools.
- Operate shop equipment such as saws, drill presses, and finishing tools.
- Follow work instructions to meet customer and quality standards.
- Assist with spray painting, finishing, and surface preparation.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
- Support other production areas as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
