Company Description Abeona Therapeutics Inc. is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing cell and gene therapies for serious diseases. Notably, Abeona's ZEVASKYN™ (prademagene zamikeracel) is the first autologous cell-based gene therapy treating wounds in adults and pediatric patients with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB). The company's cGMP manufacturing facility in Cleveland, Ohio, is dedicated to producing ZEVASKYN™. Abeona's portfolio includes adeno-associated virus (AAV)-based gene therapies for ophthalmic diseases with unmet medical needs, and their novel AAV capsids aim to improve treatment outcomes for various debilitating conditions. Position Overview The Manufacturing Technician, Logistics is responsible for working independently and with others on GMP Facility cleaning and Material Transfer. Technicians will maintain qualification in full aseptic gowning as well as cGMP training, and train in other processes related to cleaning and supporting Manufacturing production. Schedule: Second Shift, Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (Orientation and general new hire training will take place during the day from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM before transitioning to position specific training on second shift)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strict attention to detail and safety.
- Focus on quality, accuracy, and technique
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in cleanroom facilities or hospital environment is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, sanitization and/or disinfection of the cGMP cleanroom area in accordance with written procedures.
- Perform general manufacturing space sanitation.
- Perform aseptic gowning and complete activities using aseptic technique.
- Perform material transfer and staging of materials.
- Stock supplies, maintains laboratory and facility organization, and perform other duties as needed in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to ensure all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean and in proper working order.
- Perform equipment preventative maintenance.
- Assist in autoclaving of materials
- Maintain compliance by completing ongoing training/education.
- Assist in implementing improvement ideas.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.

- Compensation (annual): $52,500 - $54,600 (this includes base annual income and anticipated annual bonus. It does not include overtime)
- This position is salary non-exempt (overtime eligible)
- During the training period, employees receive a partial shift differential of 2.5%
- A 5% shift differential is applied once the employee migrates to the true second shift schedule
