Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Packaging Lead (Supervisor Trainee) to join our packaging department. This position is ideal for someone with strong initiative and leadership potential who is ready to learn all aspects of our packaging operations and grow into a supervisory role. The successful candidate will begin by working hands-on within our seven-person packaging team, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency in every order. Over time, this role will expand to include responsibilities in team coordination, training, and production oversight.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food manufacturing, packaging, or production preferred
- Demonstrated leadership ability or interest in developing into a leadership role
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards is a plus
- Commitment to quality, consistency, and teamwork
Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee daily packaging of bread products for wholesale distribution
- Ensure all packaging meets company quality and food safety standards
- Accurately label, count, and record packaged items
- Maintain a clean and compliant work area in accordance with food manufacturing regulations
- Assist with workflow coordination, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Learn and support company policies, safety procedures, and operational goals with the intent of advancing into a supervisory position
- Foster teamwork, reliability, and accountability within the packaging department
