Our mission is to equip professionals and adventurers with lightweight, agile, and dependable watercraft that inspire confidence on the water. PAID TRAINING PROGRAM We are hiring for a structured, hands-on paid training program designed to prepare you for a career as an Inflatable Boat Assembler (Finisher). No prior experience is required. Successful completion of the course leads to full-time, year-round employment. POSITION OVERVIEW Finishers handcraft inflatable rafts and sponsons to precise customer specifications using engineering drawings and blueprints. You will apply adhesives, bond materials, and ensure each product meets Wing’s quality and performance standards. Advanced Finishers may assist with training, perform off-site repairs, or travel for installation projects. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:35 PM. Overtime may be required based on production needs, including extended weekday hours or occasional Saturdays. Location: Arcata, CA. Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and work in tight or low-clearance spaces daily
  • Frequently able to lift and move items up to 90 lbs
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks such as pulling, pressing, trimming, and gluing
  • Willing to wear a half-mask respirator when working with adhesives and chemicals
  • No prior experience required — training is provided
  • Steady full-time work and/or school history with explainable gaps and strong professional references
  • Ability to use rollers, heat guns, and other powered or manual hand tools
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions; basic math skills required
  • Ability to carry out detailed instructions, apply sound judgment, and resolve issues efficiently
  • Strong work ethic; deadline-driven, quality-focused, and dependable
  • Punctual and reliable; willing to work overtime as needed and schedule time off in advance

Responsibilities

  • Mix and apply adhesives using brushes and rollers
  • Bond components to sponsons or foam-core structures using rollers, scrapers, and hot air tools
  • Measure and install accessories, chafe gear, lifelines, and logos
  • Splice lifelines and conduct baffle pressure tests
  • Trim, clean, and assemble components
  • Perform quality checks and follow build instructions
  • Assist with packaging finished products
  • Follow safety procedures and use required PPE
