About The Position

This position operates on a standard schedule of 2:00 pm to 10:30 PM.
As a Manufacturing Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and packing a variety of mechanical assemblies using hand tools and bench top equipment. This role reports directly to the Production Supervisor.
This position is based in Emeryville, CA and offered as a 1099 independent contractor role for an initial duration of 3 to 6 months. There may be potential for extension based on project needs and individual performance.

Requirements

• Knowledge of ISO9001.
• Ability to use various hand tools such as tweezers, rulers, and cutters tools like torque drivers, torque wrenches, and screwdrivers.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Strong ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in reading procedures, interpreting visual aids, and following mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Precision mechanical component placement and assembly.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education.

Nice To Haves

• experience in gloveboxes and working under a microscope with small parts.

Responsibilities

• Follow assembly procedures and work instructions with attention to details.
• Verify the integrity of materials to be assembled according to the assembly procedure and/or work instruction.
• Assemble components in specific orders, using the proper tooling and equipment specified in the procedures/ work instructions.
• Visual inspection of components and/or assembly according to procedure/ work instruction.
• Identify and report defective components.
• Ensure the accuracy of work-in-process associated with the work cell.
• Maintain cleanliness in your work area and surrounding workspace.
• Fulfill any other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.
