About The Position

Richard Wolf Medical Instruments is seeking Manufacturing Apprentices in Vernon Hills, IL, offering both a 1-year and 3-year Manufacturing Apprenticeship Program. This opportunity is designed to provide aspiring individuals with hands-on experience, invaluable skills, and a pathway to a successful career in the manufacturing industry. Each year of the program, apprentices will attend classes at Harper College combined with onsite on-the-job training. Richard Wolf covers tuition, fees, and books, and pays for both school and work time. Upon graduation, apprentices will have either a certificate (1-year) or an associate degree (3-year), advanced technical skills, and an excellent future in the medical industry without college debt. Additionally, they will be offered a full-time position upon completion of the program. The hourly pay rate for 1st-year apprentices is $16.50/hr.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Acceptance into Harper College AAS Manufacturing Technology or Manufacturing Certificate program
Openness to learning, training and development at RWMIC and in the classroom
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Beginner computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word & Excel)
Exceptional team player who is proactive, organized, and detail‐oriented with a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Time management and attention to detail
