Requirements
- 2 years of prior experience working in a Machine Shop or equivalent education is required.
- Experience with manual mills and lathes or other machine shop equipment, as well as inspection equipment is required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to use inspection equipment, such as micrometers and calipers, and ability to read blueprints.
- Skilled in tool and fixture making.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Team oriented and communication skills.
- Strong math and computer skills.
- Must be a motivated self-starter and be able to work independently.
- Ability to work overtime, sometimes on short notice.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Access to our facility (and, therefore, employment) is restricted under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents of the United States and properly licensed foreign persons. Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and perform set-ups.
- Make fixtures on manual machinery.
- Fabricate and assemble parts into a finished product.
- Troubleshoot machinery when there is a process issue.
- Produce parts with hand tools and machines to exact specifications.
- Complete finishing operations and quality inspections for our products.
- Follow all company safety policies and practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
