About The Position

Set up and operate an individual manual machine tool or several machine tools organized in a work group or cell.

Requirements

• Proven experience/knowledge in setting up/operating manual machine.
• Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
• Good understanding of quality control principles.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
• High school diploma
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Ability to work independently w/minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to thrive in a critical thinking environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Nice To Haves

• Higher degree from a technical school will be appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Receives assignment, drawings, process documents and/or verbal instructions.
• Sets up machines using tools and equipment needed according to standard work instructions and machine requirements.
• Selects feeds and speeds
• Performs work to tolerances indicated, checking own parts to insure compliance with quality requirements.
• Assembles, tests and calibrates fuel injection parts per standard procedure within close tolerances.
• Performs assembly of other components such as piston skirts, liners, camshafts, etc.
• May be required to operate two machines simultaneously or perform other miscellaneous duties such as deburring or checking work during machine cycle.
• Maintains standard work files, fixtures, tooling, etc. Keeps machine clean and performs daily routine maintenance checks.
• Handles medium weigh materials by hand and heavier materials by hoist or crane.
