Position Title: Manual Machinist I, Drills
Summary: A successful Manual Machinist I, Drills Operator can safely and effectively drill and broach parts while keeping our high quality standard. This is an Hourly, Non-Exempt position reporting to Group Leader.

Requirements

• Highschool Diploma or GED required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of equipment and processes in areas of responsibility.
• Effective people skills.
• Ability to read and interpret precision measuring equipment and fractions as they relate to scaled measuring.
• Own basic tools.
• Basic blueprint reading skills.
• Basic product knowledge.
• Capable of understanding and following routing information.
• Minimal set-up capabilities.
• Minimal tooling and fixturing knowledge.
• Basic understanding of feeds and speeds.
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience.
• Minimal layout capabilities.
• Technical training as required.
• Prolonged periods standing.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.

• Ability to modify drill point for various applications.
• Advanced level of job operating efficiency.
• Ability to operate multiple machines.
• Proven ability to inspect work and hold tolerances.
• Ability to identify and share process improvement ideas.
