About The Position

The Bronzeville Group (TBG) is a boutique healthcare consulting firm focused on safety-net providers, Medicaid, and value-based care. We have active client work booked through December 2027, a team in place, and an established network of payer and provider relationships across health plans, safety-net providers, and state agencies. The founder is transitioning to a new venture within the portfolio and looking for a senior operator to step in and lead the firm. You will start as Senior Advisor — embedded with the founder, absorbing client relationships, existing team, and firm operations. Within up to 12 months, upon hitting defined milestones in client execution and business development, you transition to Managing Partner & CEO with full operational authority and a meaningful ownership stake on a path to majority. This is not a consulting job. It is a founder-track opportunity for someone ready to own and build. You are the right fit if: You've successfully operated in a lean or entrepreneurial environment where you wore multiple hats You have a player/coach mindset — you can roll up your sleeves to get work done and manage staff at all levels (junior, mid-career, and senior leaders) You've personally closed business, not just managed business that was handed to you You're comfortable with ambiguity and able to make decisions with incomplete data and course-correct rather than waiting for 100% information You can lead, manage, and hold teams accountable

Requirements

  • MBA preferred; equivalent experience in healthcare consulting leadership considered
  • 7+ years of post-degree experience in healthcare consulting or management with experience in value-based care or safety-net environments
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and/or senior client relationships
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — has built, grown, or turned around a practice, business, or team
  • Exceptionally high EQ — this work is relationship-intensive and mission-driven; how you show up matters as much as what you deliver
  • High execution and follow-through — you close the loop, every time
  • Outstanding communication skills and executive presence — you will regularly engage C-suite leaders, state officials, and health plan executives

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in payer-provider strategy, managed care, or health equity
  • Existing relationships within the healthcare ecosystem
  • Prior P&L or firm ownership experience

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience; this role is structured for someone who values long-term equity over near-term cash
  • Performance-based bonus eligibility
  • Full benefits package — health, dental, vision, 401(k)
  • Meaningful ownership stake upon transition to Managing Partner & CEO, with a path to majority ownership over time
  • Hybrid work environment; Chicago preferred
  • Direct access to an established client portfolio, active engagements, and a founder invested in your success and transition
  • Opportunity to lead and scale a mission-driven firm serving underserved communities
