About The Position

The Managing Editor for Planning & Audience Engagement at Lee Enterprises will oversee audience growth and engagement strategies for the Greensboro News & Record and Winston-Salem Journal. Requirements

• Proven experience in growing a digital audience as an editor or digital producer.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and coach teams effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in strategic planning and audience engagement metrics.

• Experience in the printing and publishing industry.
• Familiarity with the Piedmont Triad region and its communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement audience engagement strategies to increase digital subscriptions.
• Collaborate with front-line editors and teams to prioritize coverage and storytelling based on audience metrics.
• Mentor and coach editorial staff to enhance their skills in audience engagement and digital content production.
• Track and analyze audience metrics to adjust content strategies accordingly.
• Work closely with the managing editor for news & production to align editorial goals with audience needs.
