About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of editorial experience, including leadership roles in fast-paced newsrooms.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, coordinate workflows, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple formats.
  • Strong understanding of digital news platforms, social media, and multimedia content strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily news operations, managing editors and reporters to ensure timely, accurate, and compelling coverage.
  • Assign and prioritize stories, manage newsroom workflows, and coordinate content across multiple platforms.
  • Uphold and enforce editorial standards, ethics, and style guidelines.
  • Collaborate with digital, video, and social teams to enhance audience engagement and expand content reach.
  • Lead editorial meetings, briefings, and planning sessions to align team objectives and coverage priorities.
  • Mentor and develop newsroom staff, providing guidance on reporting, writing, and professional growth.
  • Analyze audience metrics to inform editorial decisions and optimize content performance.
