We are currently seeking a Managing Director Sales Leader, Energy & Utilities, North America to join our team in Houston, Texas (US-TX), United States (US). Leveraging deep industry expertise and a comprehensive portfolio—including Consulting Services, Network Digitization, Everilion Station, Energy/Commodity Trading and Risk Management, Refinery 4.0, and Disruptive Technologies (IoT, AI, blockchain, open innovation)—we deliver agility, efficiency, and personalized energy solutions at scale. We are seek a dynamic and results-driven Sales Leader to spearhead growth initiatives across the Energy and Utility sectors. This key leadership role encompasses full-cycle growth strategies—from go-to-market planning and execution to leading and mentoring a high-performing new logo acquisition team. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision, industry expertise, and strong leadership to achieve ambitious revenue goals.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in IT consulting/managed services sales with proven success in go-to-market innovation and market growth.
  • 10 years Energy/Utilities industry domain experience, including digital transformation, cloud, application modernization, and managed services delivery models.
  • 8 years in sales leadership, navigating complex enterprise buying cycles, consultative selling, and managing portfolios exceeding $100M annually.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute go-to-market strategies for target industries.
  • Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and market expansion.
  • Build and maintain C-level relationships with clients and market influencers to position NTT DATA as a trusted advisor.
  • Lead a team of Sales Executives and Account Managers to achieve multi-million-dollar targets.
  • Oversee pipeline development, forecasting, and governance for large, complex deals.
  • Ensure compliance with pricing, contracting, and risk management policies.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of Energy and Utilities to identify trends and create tailored value propositions.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and delivery teams to design client-centric proposals.
  • Lead RFP/RFQ responses and executive presentations for large transformation deals.
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor high-performing sales teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
