About The Position

Modern Family Law, a rapidly expanding national law firm specializing in Family Law, is seeking a driven, compassionate, and experienced Managing Attorney to join our talented team in Seattle. This role is hybrid and the Managing Attorney must live driving-distance from our office in downtown Seattle. We are seeking a Managing Attorney to oversee the day-to-day operations in our Seattle office while handling diverse family law cases and making a meaningful impact on our clients' lives. This position is critical in ensuring the productivity and profitability of the office by balancing legal expertise, team mentorship, and operational management. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated team in an exciting, fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • Five (5) or more years of devoted Family Law experience preferred.
  • Must be within commuting distance to our Seattle office
  • Skilled in mentoring and leading a team, while fostering collaboration.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a client-focused mindset.
  • Proficient in client counseling, case prep, case management, and courtroom representation.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written legal communication.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Committed to delivering excellent client service.
  • Active admission to the Washington State Bar

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, productivity, and profitability of the Seattle office.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop legal staff through training, motivation, and support.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR on recruitment and policy compliance.
  • Coordinate with other leaders to ensure cross-departmental support.
  • Conduct client consultations and provide legal advice on family law matters.
  • Represent clients in court, prepare legal documents, and negotiate settlements.
