About The Position

QSAC is hiring a Manager for our OPWDD-funded Residential Program. This essential position is responsible for the general operation of the residence, supervising staff, and maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment which fosters growth and facilitates the development of independence of the people we support.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 1-2 years’ experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities required
  • 1 year of OPWDD experience is highly preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year supervisory work experience required
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required for site visits is required
  • 1-2 years’ experience driving large passenger vehicle required
  • Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s) required
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with others and individuals served
  • Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb. items required
  • Commitment to company values and adherence to policies is expected
  • Punctuality and regular attendance is expected

Responsibilities

  • Create schedules for Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Assistant Managers and Shift Supervisor staff at residence
  • Review residential binders, including general, medical, personal allowance, etc.
  • Conduct periodic fire drills or other emergency drills
  • Complete and submit injury reports for individuals
  • Work with Quality Assurance team to ensure documentation and services are within OPWDD guidelines
  • Oversee personal allowance for residents of the program
  • Coordinate and shop for household items and groceries
  • Maintain adequate supply of medication, and medication administration records for people receiving services
  • Supervise Habilitation Specialists/DSPs, Assistant Managers and Shift Supervisors
  • Provide hands on supervision of people with autism including implementation of behavior goals and behavior support plans
  • Participate in Life Plan meetings and the development of the Staff Action Plan
  • Oversea and report to Coordinator or Director on any employee relations and staff disciplinary concerns
  • Maintain correspondence with Nurse and Medical Coordinator to ensure appropriate medical appointments occur
  • Ensure program goals are implanted by Habilitation Specialists/DSP staff
  • Coordinate recreational activities including residential vacations
  • Report issues regarding QSAC vehicles to supervisor
  • Communicate with families, day programs, Care Managers, clinicians and other supports to ensure services are integrated and appropriate
  • Maintain relationships with community and neighbors
  • Ensure confidentiality with family and caregivers
  • Ensure health, safety & welfare of people we support
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management
