The Workforce Manager leads advanced forecasting, staffing and capacity planning initiatives that directly influence business performance and labor strategy. This role partners with the appropriate line of business, operations, finance and HR leaders to translate business goals into actionable workforce plans that balance service levels, productivity and cost. The role not only executes planning processes but also designs and improves them serving as a subject matter expert, data strategist and mentor for Analysts within the workforce planning team. Strategic Planning & Forecasting Develop, validate and present long term and short-term labor forecasts using statistical modeling and business insights. Evaluate business drivers, historical and seasonal trends to influence long-term and short-term staffing needs and strategies. Partner with finance and operations to align workforce plans with budget, productivity and service level goals. Provide strategic guidance in scenario modeling for new business initiatives, demand forecast scenarios and guidance on impacts related to new & enhance program changes. Advanced Analytics & Reporting Build and maintain complex analytical models to measure forecast accuracy, schedule quality, staffing needs, team member efficiency & performance and labor cost. Lead the development of advanced dashboards and reporting tools for executive and field leadership to leverage and build actionable plans to achieve business goals. Analyze performance trends to identify risks, opportunities and process gaps and provide data-driven recommendations to team leadership. Process & Systems Optimization Serve as a system expert for workforce planning tools and partner with technology teams to design, test and implement system enhancements that improve WFP process such as forecasting, scheduling and staffing accuracy. Identify automation opportunities and streamline workflows to increase team productivity and accuracy. What you will do Analyzes current staffing levels and future demand based on patient volume, acuity, and other factors in order to implement appropriate adjustments. Defines staffing requirements, staffing models, and guidelines for recruitment, retention, and succession planning in order to address workforce needs and challenges. Develops and coordinates employee schedules that comply with labor regulations, optimize staff utilization, and, ensure patient care needs are met. Audits data from key performance indicators (KPIs) related to workforce management, such as staffing ratios, productivity, overtime, absenteeism, and turnover to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Identifies opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and reduce costs through process optimization and automation. Ensures compliance with labor laws and applicable regulations in matters related to scheduling practices, overtime, leave management, and fair labor standards. Contributes to the development of training programs or workshops for staff that focus on organizational workforce management principles, tools, and methodologies. Manages team performance through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation, and team development. Develops relationships with cross-functional teams including HR, finance, and operations to gather input, address challenges, and implement effective workforce management strategies.
