About The Position

The Manager, Web Optimization's purpose is to improve how well websites perform for both users and the business, in addition to managing and leading a team of Front-End Developers. This role requires a strong focus on data analysis, user experience, SEO, Accessibility, and conversion outcomes. At its core, the role blends analytics, UX, experimentation, and cross functional collaboration to make a site faster, clearer, and more effective at driving results.

Requirements

  • Advanced relevant experience, including SEO, UI/UX, Web design, and content management optimization
  • Fluent in current SEO optimizations and best practices
  • Solid working knowledge of website accessibility issues
  • Deep experience with website analytics and their analysis
  • Experience working with web content management systems (CMS), user experience platforms, and project management tools

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrates experience in working with SEO subject matter, experts, content creators, marketers, UI designers, engineers, and data analysts
  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of study

Responsibilities

  • Drive SEO improvements on YCA websites to achieve business goals and increase organic traffic, engagement, and conversion
  • Drives customer experience optimization for YCA IMG supported websites, including roadmap and contribution to defining future features and functionality
  • Oversee accessibility compliance efforts throughout public facing websites and the staff's sensitivity to ADA/WCAG compliance issues
  • Ensure a data-driven continuous test, learn, and apply environment
  • Ensure the organization's website strategy remains modern, data-driven, and future focused and oversee website issues governance principles, regulatory issues, risk management, and best practices
  • Elevate the Music Connect & Ecommerce user experience and enable Yamaha to become a brand of choice, getting closer to the customer
  • Attract, engage, and develop team members within the department
  • Work with business stakeholders to achieve consensus on website optimization, vision and goals & support and implement best practices, tools, and improvements to site features and functionality
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement and maintain the Music Connect & Ecommerce website roadmap and drive optimization of SEO on YCA owned websites
  • Proactively research industry best practices, competitive benchmarks, evolving customer behavior, and lead website experimentation
  • Oversee website governance, website ADA/WCAG compliance and accessibility issues
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement improvements that make a website more usable, more persuasive, and more aligned with business goals such as lead generation, sales, or engagement. This includes analyzing traffic patterns, diagnosing friction points, and running structured tests to validate what works
  • Leverage AI Tools for behavioral insights
  • Contribute to prioritization and evaluation of development sprints and projects
