About The Position

Lifetime Brands is moving into the neighborhood! We are building a brand-new state-of-the-art warehouse in Hagerstown, MD. This new build will allow us to meet growing demand and establish an even more efficient and modern operation. We are currently seeking a Facilities Supervisor to be a crucial part of this transition, helping us establish new processes as we settle into our new home. Position Overview The Warehouse Receiving Manager plans, directs, and monitors all inbound operations including receiving, dock scheduling, vendor compliance, quality control oversight, and coordination with purchasing and warehouse teams.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Experience: 5 -7 years experience in managing a distribution center and service operation
  • Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc: Advanced WMS proficiency required. Experience with RF scanning, EDI, ASN processing, dock scheduling systems, vendor compliance programs, and routing guides
  • Working Conditions: Distribution Center. Frequent walking and standing on the warehouse floor. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Other Skills/Abilities: Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and effective problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees warehouse operations in their assigned area to ensure efficient and cost-effective storage and distribution of materials, including raw materials, finished products, tools, and packaging.
  • Coordinate cross-shift and inter-departmental workflow to meet order fulfillment deadlines
  • Manages dock scheduling, inbound appointments, and carrier coordination
  • Develops and enforces vendor compliance programs (routing guides, ASN protocols, labeling standards)
  • Oversees Quality Control department and inspection procedures
  • Oversees the movement of goods directly from receiving to shipping
  • Maintains receiving accuracy metrics and implements corrective actions
  • Manages WMS receiving functionality (ASN processing, blind receiving, license plating, directed put-away)
  • Coordinates with purchasing and planning teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Oversees handling of returns, damaged goods, and non-conforming materials
  • Responsible for development, counseling, coaching and annual reviews of the members of the department under his/her assigned area of responsibility.
  • Develop and recommend improvements in warehouse practices to promote efficiency, faster service and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective resource utilization and achievement of work schedules and targets
  • Monitor safe operation of all equipment
  • May be required to analyze trends, solve problems, train and motivate and develop their team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
