Job Summary The J. Paul Getty Museum welcomes 1.8 million visitors annually across its Brentwood and Pacific Palisades locations. To ensure exceptional visitor experiences, Getty relies on a corps of 400+ volunteers who work alongside staff in visitor services, docent programs, and other areas. The Manager of the Volunteer Program oversees the recruitment, training, engagement, and retention of this vital volunteer community. Position Summary As a key member of the Visitor & Security Services team, reporting to the Assistant Vice President Visitor & Security Services, the Manager of the Volunteer Program will design, implement, and manage all aspects of Getty’s Volunteer Program. This role requires a strategic leader with experience in cultural institutions, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to fostering inclusive, welcoming, and meaningful visitor experiences. This role directly contributes to visitor satisfaction and Getty’s reputation as a world-class museum.
