About The Position

This position serves as a subject matter expert on global trade laws and regulations for import and export activities. The position participates on the department's leadership team to develop department strategy, direction and implementation of the overall structure, resources, processes, and procedures to ensure Arrow meets the governmental requirements. This role has the responsibility to set direction and drive results across all regional geographies and businesses to ensure all processes are in place and being followed correctly for imports and exports. This position also supports system and software applications development, testing and implementation for trade management & compliance alignment, including setting direction in line with internal policy, and facilitates awareness, training, development, implementation and management of automated global trade management & compliance solutions. Works closely with Arrow’s Legal departments and the Business operational leaders to make and implement recommendations on avoidance and mitigation of risk based on their knowledge of government rules and regulations. Initiates, coordinates and controls recommendations to promote service, quality, efficiency, and risk reduction and tariff mitigation for all of Arrow’s Business units

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 8 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Provides leadership to managers, supervisors and/or professional staff
  • Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related units, projects and services
  • Develops departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities
  • Controls resources and policy formation in area of responsibility
  • Decisions are guided by resource availability and functional objectives
  • Identifies applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems
  • Manages large teams of professionals and/or junior managers
