This position is a senior level management position that will lead and grow our Texas Office. The Manager of the Texas Office will be responsible for the day-to-day operations including managing engineers and designers, and interfacing with clients to resolve project and technical issues. In addition to managing the operations of the office, they will also be responsible for marketing engineering services and developing new business with potential clients in the investor-owned, municipal and electric cooperative utility market. This position reports to the Business Unit General Manager. This position does have direct reports. The locations of interest include Austin, Waco, Dallas, Fort-Worth, and Houston. Position requirements include: · Responsible for employee engagement, performance reviews, interviewing/hiring, work quality, budgets and schedules, mentorship and growth, project execution, client interaction, and business development. · Ability to provide technical review of project scopes, develop budget estimates and prepare proposals · Ability to prepare various specification for bid such as equipment specification, labor specification and relay specifications. · Must have a good understanding of the technological, market, and commercial trends driving the current utility industry transformation. · Will be responsible for all aspects of the line of business, including maintaining existing clients and generating new clients. · Must actively support enhancing the Company’s overall strategic business vision by supporting the selling and delivery of multi-functional business solutions. · Must have a general knowledge of all the engineering services that the Company offers and be able to effectively communicate the services to existing and potential clients.
