Job Description Manager (Test Consultant) (full-time; multiple openings) needed in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to design/develop test plans/scenarios & monitor their execution. Oversee all phases of the testing process (acceptance testing, system & integration testing of system design, and program & module testing) under direction of a Senior Manager. Oversee efforts of lower-level team members while serving as technical lead and mentor. Conduct impact and gap analysis and coordinate issue resolution. Oversee software testing and debugging of existing systems, and the design and development of tools and testing programs to identify issues and create repeatable test automation models. Develop test scripts and perform code reviews. Gather and analyze business and technical requirements for customization. Identify software defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software developers. Perform independent verification and validation of the products produced by the development process. Research and log root cause analysis for the reported bugs and ensure resolution and final testing. Review test cases and test scenarios and interpret test results in relation to acceptance criteria. Work with program management and development team to ensure quality and track progress per the project scope/delivery date.

Requirements

  • Must have a Master’s Degree (or foreign equiv) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Business, Math, or related field, plus two (2) years of IT experience.
  • In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equiv) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Business, Math, or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate IT experience.
  • Must have one (1) year of IT work experience with one of the following skill sets: Selenium, GitHub, and UAT; Kubernetes, Docker, and Splunk; OR ALM, Selenium, and Jenkins.
  • All experience may be acquired concurrently.
  • Travel and relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required based on business needs.
  • International travel not required.
  • Travel not to exceed 5% / year for meetings and to complete assigned projects of varying lengths.
  • Telecommuting may be permitted as needed.
