About The Position

Manager Technology Support Location: Candidates are required to reside in Puerto Rico. This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. May be required to travel between alternate Carelon Global Solutions offices in Mayaguez and San Juan, Puerto Rico as needed. Schedule: This position will work a first shift Monday thru Friday. The Manager Technology Support is responsible for providing tactical direction and coaching to Information Technology (IT) staff. Requirements

  • Requires an AA/AS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Management or lead experience strongly preferred.
  • IT Service Management ticketing system experience strongly preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures processes and Service Level Agreements meet department standards.
  • Manages resources and work requests related to production for multiple systems and/or processes, including incident tracking and reporting, root cause analysis, and outage resolution.
  • Ensures accurate status reporting in assigned areas.
  • Provides reports to IT management.
  • Provides input on project estimates and resource plan for assigned area.
  • Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with key business partners.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
