The Patient Experience Product Group within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Technology partners closely with the Patient Experience & Customer Solutions (PECS) business to enable and operate the technology that supports Patient Support Programs and end‑to-end patient services. Our work focuses on ensuring that patient, provider, and customer interactions across access, affordability, enrollment, fulfillment, and ongoing support are reliable, scalable, and seamless. We collaborate directly with PECS program teams to translate business and patient needs into integrated digital platforms, operational tools, and workflows that enable program execution and continuous improvement. In close partnership with JJIMT and PECS stakeholders, we deliver and evolve future‑ready capabilities that strengthen program operations, enhance patient and healthcare professional experiences, support compliance and quality, and ultimately improve access, continuity of care, and patient outcomes. Purpose: The Manager, Technology Product Management – Platform role blends technical product ownership with hands-on engineering, focused on delivering commercial solutions which transform Patient Support Program operations while maintaining a reliable, compliant, and secure environment. This position will have specific responsibilities as an IT Product Manager with strong technical skills, accountable for platform operations for PECS across the broader technology ecosystem (applications, integrations, data/AI services, vendor-operated components, and enabling platforms). The Manager will collaborate with IT peers, external vendors, data aggregator partners, Business Product Owners, Technology Services, and Finance teams to ensure solutions not only deliver business value, but are operationally resilient, supportable, and secure-by-design.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent field of study.
  • Strong stakeholder partnership skills across Business Product Owners, Technology Services, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience owning vision, roadmap, and backlog prioritization for a product/platform and translating business needs into prioritized user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience operating a production platform/ecosystem (multiple applications, integrations, data/AI services, and vendor components) with accountability for availability, reliability, and service performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure solutions meet security, privacy, and compliance standards across the delivery lifecycle (requirements → design → build → run).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical and operational decisions to business and technical audiences; ability to support governance reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Drive operational strategy for PECS platforms, including availability, reliability, performance, and supportability.
  • Serve as the operational backbone of the Patient Support Program (PSP) technology ecosystem.
  • Own the reliability, observability, and continuous improvement of the platforms, tools, and workflows which enable patients to access life-changing therapies.
  • Catalog and maintain an accurate system inventory, architecture documentation, and dependency maps to support risk management and capacity planning.
  • Define and Implement change management for operational process changes, ensuring training, communication, and adoption support are embedded into every initiative.
  • Evaluate emerging technology solutions and build business cases for adoption when aligned with program goals and compliance requirements.
  • Cultivate collaborative, healthy, inclusive, and credo-based culture of highly engaged, robust teams by modeling credo values, valuing diverse perspectives, with high touch approach to employee talent and development.
  • Champion a culture of data-informed operations, building self-service monitoring capabilities for non-technical team members.
  • Demonstrate success in leading multiple cross-function self-organized teams.
  • Lead blameless post-incident reviews, driving root cause analysis and translating findings into actionable remediation items with owners and due dates.
