This is an onsite role based in Sterling, VA or Denver, Colorado in alignment with our flexible work policy (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible). Position Description As a Technology Procurement Manager, Vantage is seeking a highly motivated, strategic leader to manage and oversee the end-to-end procurement of IT materials, licenses, maintenance, software, hardware, professional services and associated supply chains. This role is responsible for ensuring the organization’s technology needs are met efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with business objectives across multiple regions and markets. The Technology Procurement Manager owns the full procurement lifecycle, from strategy development and sourcing through contract negotiation, ordering, delivery, and lifecycle management. This role provides leadership across international, cross-functional initiatives and serves as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring procurement strategies support operational, financial, technical, and regional requirements. They will also drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, supplier performance, risk management, and cost optimization. This position requires managing complex, multi-region procurement programs simultaneously and collaborating closely with suppliers and internal teams including IT, Automation, Construction Cost & Finance, Accounting, Construction, Operations, and Legal. Occasional travel to Vantage Data Center sites may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Law, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in procurement or sourcing, with a strong focus on technology, software, hardware, and IT professional services
  • Demonstrated experience managing international vendor contracts, negotiations, and strategic supplier relationships
  • Proven leadership experience, including mentoring or managing procurement professionals across geographies
  • Proficiency with procurement systems, contract management tools, and ERP platforms used in international organizations
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including management of complex budgets, multi-currency considerations, and financial models
  • Deep understanding of sourcing strategies, procurement methodologies, and best practices
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced organization and drive initiatives to completion
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across cultures and regions

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Technology Procurement function, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and regional business objectives
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for technology software, hardware, licensing, maintenance, and IT professional services
  • Own and manage RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs ensuring competitive sourcing outcomes and regional compliance
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements, master service agreements, pricing structures, and contractual terms with regional vendors
  • Build and oversee project-level and portfolio-level procurement budgets across regions, including forecasting and cost controls
  • Oversee purchase order creation, approval workflows, and compliance within financial and ERP systems
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives across regional vendor base
  • Track and manage enterprise software licensing, renewals, and support agreements in coordination with Finance and IT
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to resolve invoicing discrepancies, accruals, currency considerations, and budget allocations
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to procurement analysts or junior team members, supporting professional development and workload prioritization
  • Drive cross-functional coordination to ensure timely procurement, delivery, and deployment of technology assets worldwide
  • Lead inventory management, forecasting, audits, and allocation of hardware across projects and regions
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, shortages, geopolitical impacts, or logistical delays, and communicate mitigation strategies to stakeholders
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, audit requirements, and regional regulatory and compliance standards
  • Continuously enhance procurement processes, tools, reporting, and governance frameworks to support scalability
  • Provide post-order support including international order tracking, issue resolution, returns, and vendor escalations
  • Partner with stakeholders to define technical specifications, scope, and operational requirements
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify best-value sourcing opportunities
  • Ensure purchases are accurately budgeted, approved, and allocated to appropriate projects or cost centers across regions
  • Lead the approval, release, and coordination of technology equipment and services across international supply chains
  • Negotiate best-landed pricing, logistics models, and commercial structures supply networks
  • Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting, and lifecycle management of technology assets
  • Support strategic planning initiatives related to technology growth, regional expansion, capacity scaling, and standardization
