We are seeking a relationship-focused and execution-oriented Manager of Technology Deployment to lead the rollout of key restaurant technologies across the U.S. and Canada (US&C) for Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. This role is central to fostering strong, collaborative relationships with both franchisees and technology vendors, ensuring smooth deployment, adoption, and ongoing support of restaurant technology systems. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of project management, stakeholder engagement, and operational execution. This role requires national travel of at least 30%, enabling in-person support and relationship development with franchise operators and vendors across the network. RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week out of our office in Miami, FL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Technology, Operations, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in project management, franchise operations, or restaurant technology deployment.
  • Proven experience managing external vendors and navigating cross-functional partnerships.
  • Familiarity with restaurant systems and technologies (POS, back-of-house, scheduling tools); QSR experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Smartsheet, Monday.com, or Jira.
  • Skilled in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable traveling nationally 30% of the time to engage with franchisees and vendors on-site.
  • A skilled relationship builder who thrives on supporting both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • A strategic thinker who can lead cross-functional initiatives while managing operational details.

Responsibilities

  • Franchisee Relationship Management Serve as the primary liaison between the corporate technology team and PLK franchisees throughout deployment cycles.
  • Build strong, trust-based partnerships with franchise operators to ensure alignment and confidence in technology rollouts.
  • Provide hands-on support, education, and guidance to franchisees, tailoring communication and strategies to their unique needs.
  • Vendor Management Lead day-to-day management of third-party technology vendors to ensure quality, accountability, and performance standards are met.
  • Coordinate vendor responsibilities related to equipment delivery, installation, and system activation at both new and existing restaurant locations.
  • Escalate and resolve deployment issues with vendors in a timely, collaborative manner.
  • Deployment Oversight & Project Execution Drive the successful implementation of technologies including POS systems, BOH tools, labor scheduling platforms, and more.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (operations, construction, IT, design) to maintain smooth project timelines.
  • Host regular project status calls and maintain real-time deployment tracking tools to monitor progress across the network.
  • Communication & Reporting Ensure clear and timely updates are delivered to all stakeholders, including franchisees, internal teams, and vendor partners.
  • Maintain comprehensive trackers, dashboards, and communication logs to ensure project transparency and alignment.
