The Configuration and Data Management (CMDM) center is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CDM Organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices, and our customers. Disciplines in the CDM organization participate in the life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. The Effector CM organization is looking for a Manager – Team Lead located in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or other related fields
  • Typically requires 8 years of configuration management experience
  • Experience with MSOffice (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with technology and computing tools (PDM-Product Data Management, SAP, or similar tools)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Windchill or related Product Data Management (PDM) tools
  • Experience with project planning
  • Strong interpersonal skills to ensure data integrity and compliance with configuration management policies
  • Collaborate effectively with all levels of management and peers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop and present technical briefings to Leadership
  • Identify potential complex problems associated with technical engineering data, regarding configuration management issues, and take corrective action as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Configuration Managers, providing clear direction, coaching and accountability to achieve organizational goals.
  • Lead the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, verification and accounting for systems and equipment in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Establish procedures for, and implement the introduction of changes to engineering documents for an assigned program and represent the functional group in the implementation of common processes
  • Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities
  • Manage change and status accounting activities to ensure compliance with contractual and configuration management policies
  • Implement change and status accounting activities to ensure compliance
  • Establish and control configuration identification processes and baselines
