The Manager, Talent Growth and Development will provide leadership and operational management for the Nebraska Medicine Employee Growth and Experience Center of Expertise including setting and operationalizing the vision and strategy, prioritizing leadership development programs and initiatives for learning and development, succession planning, data analytics, organizational culture initiatives, and organizational effectiveness. In coordination with the Director of People Health and Experience, translate HR strategy into meaningful people development initiatives, incorporating a systemic view across all HR disciplines and Nebraska Medicine operational business units. Manage the overall Employee Growth and Experience COE. Partner with other HR and Nebraska Medicine leaders to align leadership development and culture strategies and services with broader organizational goals and change management strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience within building comprehensive leadership development programs in a large, complex organization required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience establishing, and executing on, enterprise-wide organizational culture philosophies
  • Minimum of three years of experience in talent development, learning and development, performance management, organization effectiveness, succession management and learning and talent operations required.
  • Minimum of three years of management experience required.
  • Master's degree in business, human resources, organizational development, or a related field required.
  • Ability to provide Employee Growth and Development COE leadership required.
  • Ability to formulate Employee Growth and Development COE organizational vision required.
  • Proven experience in development and implementation of talent management initiatives required, including succession planning, measuring employee experience metrics and strategic talent development required.
  • Expert knowledge of talent management policies and procedures required.
  • General knowledge of HR policies and procedures required.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage organizational budgets required.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proven experience in financial analysis required.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other members of HR and organizational leadership required.
  • Proven experience in coaching and guiding senior members of the HR and business leaders required.
  • Proven ability to coach, guide, mentor and develop people required.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key external constituents, including vendors required.
  • Ability to establish performance metrics for the Employee Growth and Experience COE that align with overall business strategy required.
  • Proven experience in conflict resolution required.
  • Strong customer service orientation required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills required.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) required.
  • Proven experience in project management required.
  • In-depth knowledge of talent management corporate governance guidelines required.
  • In-depth knowledge of talent management compliance and reporting requirements required.

Nice To Haves

  • Human resources and management experience in a large academic medical center or health system preferred.
  • PhD in I/O psychology preferred.
