About The Position

This is an open position with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corporation This role will focus on Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Maryland State Operations, managing recruiting for engineering, field, and technical roles across multiple jurisdictions . Reports To: Vice President of Talent Management and Talent Acquisition Position Summary The Manager of Talent Acquisition will lead recruiting operations for assigned business units, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely, and inclusive hiring practices. This role manages a team of recruiters and coordinators, partners with HR Business Partners and business leaders, and drives process improvements to meet workforce goals. The Manager will oversee full-cycle recruiting, workforce planning support, and talent pipeline development, ensuring alignment with FirstEnergy’s strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 10 + years of recruiting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting systems, sourcing strategies, and employment law.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned business units, including technical, professional, and leadership roles.
  • Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to forecast hiring needs and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure consistent execution of recruiting processes, including intake meetings, candidate assessments, and offer management.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, inclusion representation) and implement improvements.
  • Supervise recruiters and coordinators, providing coaching, performance feedback, and development support.
  • Allocate requisitions and manage workload to ensure timely delivery of hiring goals.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs and Finance to align hiring plans with operational and financial goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on talent acquisition strategies and market conditions.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws, internal policies, and collective bargaining agreements where applicable.
  • Drive process improvements and leverage technology (Oracle Recruiting Cloud, CRM tools) for efficiency.
