About The Position

Baker Donelson is seeking a Manager, Talent Acquisition – Staff & Business Services to lead and execute recruiting for the firm’s non‑attorney professional staff and business services positions across the firm. This role is central to our continued effort to modernize, centralize, and scale staff recruiting—ensuring consistent processes, strong candidate experiences, and timely delivery of qualified candidate slates to hiring managers. This is a hands‑on role for a recruiter who enjoys owning searches end‑to‑end while also helping strengthen the tools, workflows, and service model that support a high‑quality, consistent hiring process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition or a related field.
  • Experience recruiting professional staff or business services roles in a complex organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously and deliver timely candidate slates.
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting within a professional services environment (law firm, accounting, consulting, or similar) is strongly valued.
  • Experience helping build, formalize, or scale a recruiting function.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruiting analytics.
  • Experience working with external recruiting vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full‑cycle recruiting for all staff and business services roles, including intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer coordination, and onboarding partnership.
  • Partner with HR leadership and business services leaders to assess staffing needs, priorities, and hiring timelines.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for frequently hired and specialized staff and business services roles.
  • Conduct screening interviews and deliver shortlists of qualified candidates to hiring managers to support efficient, well‑informed selection decisions.
  • Support the design and implementation of standardized recruiting processes, tools, and service expectations for all future staff and business services hiring.
  • Assist with configuration, optimization, and adoption of recruiting and onboarding systems.
  • Document recruiting workflows and best practices to support scalability and consistency across the firm.
  • Serve as a consultative recruiting partner to business services leaders and hiring managers.
  • Coordinate with external recruiting agencies and consultants as approved.
  • Provide market insight related to talent availability, recruiting strategies, and hiring challenges.
  • Track recruiting metrics such as time‑to‑fill, pipeline health, and candidate experience.
  • Ensure recruiting practices align with firm policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Promote equitable, consistent, and well‑documented hiring decisions.
