About The Position

The Manager Supply Chain Operations is responsible for the daily operations of supply chain.
Oversees inventory control in in designated locations meeting targets for dollar value of inventory on hand.
Responsible for ensuring that hospital policies covering these and related areas are adhered to and that materials handling procedures ensure appropriate controls.
Recommends policies when and where appropriate.
Is readily available to hospital departments to assist in their supply and equipment needs.
Keeps abreast of new developments, activities, and improvements in Supply Chain and Logistics. Oversees and manages consignment inventory and vendor “bill only” invoices.
The manager monitors and forecasts workloads; recommends changes in assignments and/or staffing levels to best achieve required outcomes.
Provides technical and non-technical guidance to staff to ensure that work assignments are being done expertly and by following the best possible procedures.
Oversees schedules to ensure that routine and non-routine activities are correctly prioritized and fairly delegated to staff members.
Anticipates impact of special/emergency requests on daily workload and implements plans to meet these needs, ensuring work completion within required time frames.
Perioperative Services Only
Responsible for Perioperative Services procurement, processes and controls.
Leads the coordination of the Perioperative Value Analysis Committee and introduction of Physician preference items (PPI) within Perioperative Services.
Manages essential performance improvement initiatives by collaborating closely with surgeons and OR nursing leadership for optimal utilization of consumable patient care items used in surgery.
Oversees PS vendor relations, vendor/supplier performance objectives, and direct program activities.
Collaborates with Supply Chain and System Value Analysis leadership to facilitate new product requests.
Oversees and directs the Product Recall process.
Oversees and manages consignment inventory and vendor “bill only” invoices. Acts as key liaison with procurement services and vendor relations for Perioperative Services.
