The Manager, Studios Finance will support the Studios Finance team by driving financial analysis, reporting, and planning across key studio functions including Creative, Capture, Post Production, and Physical Production. This role is focused on actuals reporting, budgeting/forecasting, and labor analytics, with an emphasis on delivering clear, actionable insights to support studio operations and production activities. This individual will play a key role in improving visibility into labor and project-level costs, while helping to establish more structured and scalable financial processes across the Studios organization. The position partners closely with Accounting and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, monitor departmental spending, and support informed decision-making. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Studios Finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business/Accounting/Finance or related field, MBA a plus.
  • 4–6 years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or financial analysis required.
  • Experience supporting production, studio operations, media/entertainment environments preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with ERP and financial planning systems (Oracle, Hyperion, or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly close process in partnership with Accounting, including accruals, labor allocations, and expense review
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across multiple studio functions
  • Build and maintain financial models to support capital investments, production initiatives, and operational decision-making
  • Prepare variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast), identify key drivers, and communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Develop and enhance reporting tools to improve visibility into labor costs, departmental spending, and project performance
  • Provide guidance on PO coding, cost tracking, and financial processes to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Support internal reporting packages and deliver analysis for Studios leadership and key business partners
  • Partner with Accounting and Corporate FP&A to ensure alignment in reporting, assumptions, and financial processes
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting efficiency, and data quality
