Global Commercial Servicing (GCS) is the B2B payments division of American Express, enabling businesses globally to pay for and finance what they need to grow their businesses. GCS provides a suite of payment and lending products, solutions for travel and everyday business spending, cross border payments, global currency solutions, and business financing. U.S. Small and Medium Enterprises (US SME), within Global Commercial Servicing (GCS) is a team of 1000+ Sales and Account Development and Sales Support professionals responsible for acquisition, growth, and retention of US companies up to $300M in annual revenues. By offering a suite of payment and lending products, American Express helps businesses of all sizes do more business, from everyday business spending, to travel, to business financing. This Manager - Strategic Planning role will support the EVP Executive Office, reporting into the Director Assistant (DA)/ Chief of Staff for the US SME Team. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a dynamic team that works across American Express.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director, Strategy & Planning with overall deliverables and processes for the US SME Executive office.
  • Own processes to enable successful client meetings and events, including but not limited to, creation of client briefs in partnership with sales and account development organizations, coordination of client events & ticketing, and facilitation of client engagements across teams.
  • Develop impactful presentations, content, agendas, and internal processes for key internal and external meetings (e.g. Senior leadership meetings, leadership offsites, Town Halls, roundtables, etc.)
  • Assist in planning of internal large-scale events.
  • Ticketing and external events.
  • Manage projects, teams, schedules, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of a variety of deliverables.
  • Develop and continue to improve internal processes with the other executive offices across the GCS SLT and the US SME LT.
  • This individual will work closely with leaders across US SME and partnering business units in GCS to ensure strategies and deliverables meet the needs of their organizations and, ultimately, of our customers. This individual must also be comfortable with having a very “hands-on” role managing a significant amount of tactical work.
