About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Finance, the Manager of Strategic Finance will play a critical role in shaping financial insights, strategic analysis, and decision-making across Fanatics Collectibles. This role sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations, with direct exposure to executive leadership and analyses that inform key investment, operating, and resource allocation decisions. This is a high-impact individual contributor role designed for an ambitious, early-career high performer who is eager to take on meaningful responsibility and grow quickly. The Manager will independently own complex analyses, develop clear points of view, and influence stakeholders through well-reasoned insights and strong financial judgment. Success in this role requires intellectual curiosity, high standards, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Requirements

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Consulting, or similarly rigorous analytical roles in environments that demand speed, precision, and executive-level communication.
  • Demonstrated strength in advanced financial modeling and analysis, with strong proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Exceptional PowerPoint skills, with experience creating clear, executive-ready presentations and investment-style narratives.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation tools as part of day-to-day analytical workflows (e.g., AI-assisted data exploration, scenario analysis, model acceleration, narrative synthesis, or process automation); comfort experimenting with and adopting new tools to drive faster, higher-quality insights is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with modern analytics platforms, automation tools, or data solutions; experience with Oracle or comparable ERP systems is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BBA or equivalent) required; advanced degree or certification is a plus but not required.
  • Experience in a complex, multi-business or high-growth environment preferred.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to connect detailed analysis to broader business objectives.
  • Proven ability to independently manage workstreams end-to-end, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality outputs under tight timelines.
  • High standards for accuracy, rigor, and clarity, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Solid foundation in GAAP and core operational finance concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging with cross-functional partners and senior leaders.
  • Clear, concise communicator with the ability to distill complex information into compelling, decision-ready insights.
  • Highly motivated, intellectually curious, and solutions-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute high-impact strategic analyses across the Collectibles business, including profitability drivers, cost structure optimization, investment prioritization, and operational performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with leaders across Product, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Technology to evaluate initiatives, identify tradeoffs, and drive data-informed decisionmaking.
  • Build and maintain robust financial models and analytical frameworks to assess new business opportunities, strategic investments, and operational improvements.
  • Develop clear points of view and recommendations, pressure-testing assumptions, risks, and sensitivities to support effective executive decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality materials for Executive Leadership, Board updates, and LongRange Planning, with a strong emphasis on synthesizing insights and articulating implications.
  • Independently structure ambiguous problems, define analytical approaches, and translate complex data into concise, decision-oriented insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of scalable finance processes, tools, and reporting capabilities that enhance visibility, accuracy, and efficiency across the Collectibles organization.
  • Serve as a thought partner to the Senior Director and broader finance leadership, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for deeper analysis.
