SUMMARY The Manager, Strategic Business Operations is a high-impact, analytically driven change-agent responsible for partnering directly with practice leaders, physicians, and cross-functional teams to improve performance, optimize the P&L, streamline workflows, and advance EyeCare Partner’s mission of delivering integrated, best-in-class eye care.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of work experience in healthcare consulting, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, or operations analytics.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the month.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including comfort with large datasets.
  • Experience leading cross-functional, process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to manage both direct and indirect stakeholders across a complex and distributed organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation—capable of simplifying complex analyses.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, private-equity–backed environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to execute with precision, polish and persistence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Healthcare Management, or related field.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar tools; and, project management tools like SmartSheets, Asana, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed financial, operational, and KPI analysis to identify performance gaps, efficiency opportunities, and root-cause drivers.
  • Build models, dashboards, and recurring reporting leveraging large datasets.
  • Develop standardized KPI definitions and operational benchmarks for practices.
  • Use data to identify opportunities and build consensus in order to influence change and create value.
  • Build trusted relationships with practice managers, market leaders, and physicians.
  • Translate analytic insights into clear operational narratives, recommendations, and execution roadmaps.
  • Influence and support leaders in adopting new processes, staffing models, and operational behaviors.
  • Work closely with Shared Services leaders to optimize key levers of the practice P&L, including; Marketing & Patient Engagement, IT, HR, BI/analytics, Finance, Clinic Operations, and other teams to drive alignment and improve performance.
  • Collaborate to improve documentation, charge capture, coding accuracy, AR performance, and cash acceleration.
  • Support ramp modeling, panel development, onboarding readiness, and retention initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional workstreams from opportunity assessment through implementation.
  • Design and execute field pilots, workflow redesigns, staffing adjustments, and process improvements.
  • Establish measurable success criteria and track post-implementation outcomes.
  • Conduct in-clinic observations to understand workflow reality, staffing, bottlenecks, and patient experience.
  • Collaborate closely with local teams to ensure recommendations are practical, achievable, and value accretive.
  • Package insights into polished executive-level presentations for senior leadership.
  • Prepare materials for practice leaders, physicians, market presidents, and shared services partners.
  • Present to Physicians and Executives regularly to persuade, inform, and educate.
