Responsibilities The STEMI Program Manager is fundamental to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the STEMI Program directed towards the provision of quality services for patients who are experiencing a STEMI or OHCA (Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest) from a multi-disciplinary perspective throughout the continuum of care. The STEMI Program Manager is responsible for the coordination of all services/systems required for the care of the STEMI patient. The STEMI Coordinator functions in support of and collaboration with other health care team members by serving as an advanced clinical practitioner, consultant, educator, researcher and change agent. The position supports the goals of the hospital in the advancement of the provision of quality STEMI care and is required to obtain and maintain certification. This individual works collaboratively with the STEMI Program Medical Director, the Emergency Department and Inpatient Nursing and Physician leadership in a mutually supportive relationship which is essential to the success of the program. The STEMI Program Manager is an expert who provides leadership for the organization of services and systems necessary for a collaborative approach to STEMI and Targeted Temperature Management. The STEMI Program Manager will assume the day-to-day responsibilities of process and performance improvement activities as they relate to nursing, and ancillary personnel and assist in carrying out the same functions for all staff. The STEMI Program Manager plans, implements, and evaluates clinical programs to achieve high quality, patient-focused outcomes which advance patient and family care and nursing practice in STEMI care. The STEMI Program Manager is responsible for the STEMI Program development, quality assessment, improvement and inter/intra-disciplinary communications. The STEMI Program Manager will work collaboratively with all hospital personnel on shared system and performance improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Current and valid California Registered Nurse License.
  • Minimum of 1 year clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting, experience in Critical Care or Emergency Department preferred.
  • Two years of experience in Stemi Program
  • Knowledgeable on current State Laws and Regulations as applicable to facility and the Stemi program.
