About The Position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. This role will have the primary responsibility of managing a team of hardworking test engineers focused on integrated testing of mechanical/actuated systems for New Glenn and Blue Origin products. In this role, you will be responsible for providing people, programmatic, and technical management to reliably execute the scope of the Operations team. Your team will coordinate with all test stakeholders, supporting and executing tests to satisfy company and program objectives, perform detailed hazard/mitigation planning, identify instrumentation/test GSE needs, and execute this testing predominantly out of Rocket Park in Florida. As we significantly increase New Glenn’s launch cadence, you will drive efficiency gains in test planning and execution, as well as drive GSE development in order to increase testing throughput while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety prioritization. You will be accountable for defects present in the test process and drive corrective actions to ensure that they are conclusively addressed. You will share in the team’s significant impact on manufacturing, testing, and delivering hardware for the New Glenn Launch Vehicle.
