About The Position

As part of the Strategic Insights & Yield team, this role focuses on monetizing NBCUniversal’s Sports inventory across Peacock and other digital platforms. The Manager will bridge Sports and portfolio monetization teams, driving yield optimization, delivering actionable insights for live sports programming, and partnering across the company to implement innovative solutions that maximize revenue. Success requires deep knowledge of sports inventory dynamics, strong analytical skills, and effective cross-team collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • At least 3 years of experience in online media
  • At least 2 years of specific experience in inventory, planning, operations, and/or yield management
  • Knowledge of financial and operational principles specifically related to digital ad sales
  • Knowledge of ad-serving systems (Google Ad Manager, Freewheel or similar)
  • Familiarity with order management systems (such as Operative One or other OMS)
  • High proficiency in advanced Excel functionality (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.), as well as familiarity with BI tools.
  • Willingness to work weekends and off-hours during major sporting events and seasons.
  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain Sports monetization insights, tracking KPIs such as sell-thru, capacity, demand and pricings trends to support strategic decision making.
  • Develop dashboards and automate reporting processes in partnership with the Business Intelligence teams; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate sellout and campaign health reporting and integrate into portfolio-level overviews.
  • Respond to ad hoc analytical requests with timely, accurate insights to support evolving business needs.
  • Act as liaison between Sports and portfolio monetization teams, ensuring alignment on inventory utilization, identifying cross-portfolio opportunities, and delivery optimization for campaign health especially during tentpole sporting events.
  • Serve as Yield Optimization subject matter expert for Sports, advising on best practices and bridging portfolio strategies with Sports execution.
  • Partner with FreeWheel and Ad product teams to influence roadmap development with a focus on live event delivery.
  • Analyze and optimize portfolio monetization in tentpole events such as NFL and Olympics.
  • Advise on priority waterfall and yield tool setup to maximize monetization during live events.
  • Lead dynamic yield management initiatives to optimize revenue across Sports inventory, collaborating with Planning, Finance, Ad Product, and Sales.
  • Test Yield Optimization tools and track effectiveness for Sports; report on performance against KPIs.
