About The Position

Under the Direction of the Director of Marketing, the incumbent oversees and directs all internal & external special events. Events include special events for guests and promotional events in coordination with Marketing and community partners. With direction from the Director of Marketing, the manager develops relationships with groups such as corporate, associations, SMERF, tour & travel, third party planners and specialty market accounts to encourage patronage and ensure professional representation of the total property. The manager also facilitates the planning, invoicing and overall management of group business and special events and directs all entertainment functions to include stage & showroom operations and related venues /areas that enables the casino to meet and/or exceed revenue goals.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

  • Must possess excellent time management skills.
  • Must be able to analyze Marketing and Promotions data.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word is required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to dynamic event environments.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must possess charismatic public speaking skills as well as effective delivery of promoting the property during presentations to large groups of potential clients at trade shows.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel required.
  • Enjoy and excel while working at a fast pace with multiple simultaneous projects happening in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment.
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Willing to travel, mostly day travel to Florida locations, and occasional overnight.
  • Must be a self-motivated, well-organized communicator with a professional demeanor
  • Degree in a related field as well as a minimum of five (5) years of hotel and/or resort event experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.

Responsibilities

  • Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe’s Policies and Procedures
  • Develops policies and procedures related to Special Events & Promotions to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Oversee and coordinate aspects of the production for concerts and special events at the venue or off property.
  • Collaborate with artists, performers, and event organizers to ensure smooth execution of their requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between production teams and management.
  • Must possess strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Must possess charismatic public speaking skills as well as effective delivery of promoting the property during presentations to large groups of potential clients at trade shows.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel required.
  • Enjoy and excel while working at a fast pace with multiple simultaneous projects happening in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment.
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Willing to travel, mostly day travel to Florida locations, and occasional overnight.
  • Proven successful supervisory experience to lead a promotional team as well as work with a variety of internal and external partners.
  • Must be a self-motivated, well-organized communicator with a professional demeanor
