Requirements

  • Proven experience in sourcing, supply chain, or merchandising (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong analytical skills and a track record in supplier relationship management.
  • Expertise in category management, negotiation, and produce industry trends.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Willingness to travel 10%–30% to visit growers and suppliers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain or related area and 3 years’ experience in sourcing OR 5 years’ experience in sourcing, Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain or related areas.
  • Bilingual in English and one or more language used to transact business in assigned country.
  • Project Management certification.

  • Experience working for a retailer, or major brand, importer/agent serving a major retail customer

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for produce, managing budgets and driving profitable growth.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers, merchants, and business partners.
  • Influence key decisions on replenishment, supply chain, assortment, and pricing.
  • Collaborate with Product Development to design and launch new Private Brand products.
  • Serve as a category expert, anticipating trends and opportunities in produce sourcing.
