Key Position Details: This position will focus on Equipment Capital by overseeing and supporting Allina Medical Equipment Council subgroups for Surgery, General Medical, and Laboratory, providing strategic guidance, mentorship, and subject matter expertise to subgroup leaders and members. Serve as the primary SCM resource for Clinical Capital Reinvestment program and partner for equipment service contracting, equipment rentals, equipment placement agreements, and capital-related service agreements. Lead the Imaging Program, including meeting facilitation, data and information support, capital planning, prioritization, and replacement strategy development for imaging equipment 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period) 8-hour day shift No weekends Hybrid role and will require the ability to come into the office in The Commons(Minneapolis, MN) as needed for supplier meetings and in-person team meetings Job Description: Performs and oversees many strategic sourcing activities as member of the strategic sourcing and services center of excellence function. Creates and executes against a sourcing strategy. Collaborates with clinical and non-clinical service line leaders to align sourcing and contracting efforts and policy initiatives for the health system. This includes setting the sourcing strategy, building relationships with key stakeholders, developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, and negotiating contracts. Partners closely with system clinical effectiveness programs/departments to determine product value and set focus on variation management and use including new product introductions. Specializes in a specific set of clinical or non-clinical areas including surgical specialties and interventional, general surgery and procedural, nursing and non-acute, purchased services, capital, clinical engineering services, corporate services and more. Works with and manages a team of contract managers to perform daily tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain management or related field
  • 7+ years of supply chain experience
  • 7+ years of leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Performs and manages strategic sourcing activities including developing and managing contract strategies, conducting requests for information and requests for proposals, clinical value effectiveness, manage category and supplier management programs, executive capital appropriation review and approval, and manage group purchasing organizations.
  • Conducts spend analysis for business unit reporting and analytics purposes.
  • Develops the strategic supply chain framework including develop and review long-term plans with executive management, perform scenario planning and analysis and evaluate strategic initiatives.
  • Conducts demand forecasting and disaster and emergent supply issue planning to manage inventory.
  • Creates and manages supply chain strategic and business unit planning/execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
